Exposure on Fotocommunity.de

Once again, four of my pictures will be featured on the main page of fotocommunity.de. They are scheduled to appear for an hour on Wednesday, starting at noon (German time), or 6 am EST.

Last time it caused tons of fc-comments, page-views, and messages, which is a big deal for a little photographer.

i found your blog at seen.by - isn't that the big deal ... especially because of the selection they make? where can i find your pictures at fotocommunity.de?

I would say they are two very different places. You feel definitely more recognized as an artist when dealing with seen.by. They just started and it's going to be a big deal - you can tell by their professionalism. Fotocommunity on the other hand is Germany's biggest Photography platform (I believe) where everybody can participate in a way they like. One of my pictures was voted into the gallery, which is a very rare event. It got about 8,000 views on the first day and might get another 10,000-15,000 tomorrow (maybe more, who knows?). Today, 105 people clicked from that picture, to my FC profile, all the way to this blog here. This is kind of a big deal, because the average daily traffic coming from there is about 2 visitors. Same with Seen.by: Seen.by made 2 people come here today. At least one of them is you - thanks for stopping by :-)

Does this address work?

Hi Oliver

Whoa that is some big traffic. How do you get involved with it. I actually was lead to your site through New York Photo Journal : Dave Beckerman.

How it comes to the traffic you mean? On Fotocommunity it's a mix between luck and a democratic decision by the users.
On Seen.by it's more up to the screeners.

More how do you get involved with Photocummunity?

You sign up and choose a membership. I'm not involved in any other way.
