Order from Germany

I was contacted by someone from Germany the other day who wanted prints for his living room. He actually first asked for files so he can print it himself, but this is an option I don't like. First of all I don't give away files in high resolution. Second I want to make sure the final prints have a quality I'm happy with. Therefore I do several steps including monitor calibration using sample prints and printer profiling in Photoshop. Here you can see what they looked like write before I shipped them. I also put a date and a signature on the back of each print.

These ones are printed on Fuji Pearl Metallic paper and are 30 Inches (about 76 cm) long on the largest side. 82 Euros (about $130) including shipment costs.

If you see anything on this page you would like to have for your walls, let me know.

A two minute exposure from Saturday. It was sunny and warm and the park was packed with people.

"BUY - SELL - TRADE - ENJOY"

I just learned about a camera show that takes place every second Sunday each month in Wayne, New Jersey.
I thought I would spread the word a little, their website gave me eye injury, though. Here's a link.
And don't forget eye protection before clicking on this one: What's a camera show?

Evolution

Once again I went to the exact same spot at the Princeton campus to take a new version of the same picture. A way to pin down changes in my perception, taste and editing.

Here are the results of four different years.

Fotocommunity.de

Anybody familiar with the German Fotocommunity? It's a place where many many very different kinds of (mostly amateur) photographers get together to bitch about each others work. Okay, you can also make great photography friends there, but when it comes to the main gallery you get often exposed to very harsh language. The thing is that a picture only gets into the gallery after an extensive voting that lasts for two days. In order to get into the voting a picture needs to be proposed for that by someone. This is all taken very seriously by many people like it's some kind of hall-of-fame or something like that. Now it happens that one of my images I have up there was voted into the gallery (by a very tight decision) and I have the pleasure to read all those comments. Some people seem to really hate it. It's definitely interesting to observe this whole thing.
Thanks for all the voters no matter if pro or contra.

I was told that four of my images will be shown on the fotocommunity.de front webpage for one hour this Tuesday starting 11 am German time (5 am New York time).

Street Fashion

This is the latest theme for submissions to JPG Magazine. One can only submit one image per theme and I'm undecided between these three. What do you think?

For now I decided for the first one:
