This is the last day here in Iceland, and I had a bunch of intense moments I'm thinking back to already.
Number 9:
Passing by a dead whale during a nightly walk at a deserted beach.
50% intense.
0% idiotic.
Number 8:
Walking around at an abandoned and very spooky looking farm house.
50% intense.
1% idiotic.
Number 7:
Seeing a door opening and someone seriously spooky looking with a 1970s Iceland brochure in his hands coming out.
60% intense.
Still a bit of an idiotic situation.
Number 6:
Arriving at the Gullfoss Waterfall at night.
70% intense.
0% idiotic.
Number 5:
Exploring the stormy southern shore late at night.
80% intense.
0% idiotic.
Number 4:
While walking in pointless circles in the flat with a group of very touristy people, realizing that the "2-hour Walk on Ice" tour does not go the the summit of the mountain.
2% intense.
100% idiotic.
Number 3:
Being attacked by a group of Buzzards while walking in a large open space.
100% intense.
Trying to scare them away by yelling at them.
50% idiotic (was worth a try).
Number 2:
Got carried away while photographing the southern shore. At some point starting to believe that I'm getting enclosed by water and that there is no escape. Also starting to believe that my remotely parked car is under water already.
100% intense.
100% idiotic.
Number 1:
Arriving at the car after going through 2.
100% intense and idiotic happiness.

This is absolutely gorgeous! I love how dramatic it is yet so calming in a way!
I'm glad I managed to capture what it was like - just as you described it. It was a great experience being there.
water.
I love your way of writing, Oli!
Or maybe it's just the way your brain works... :) Anyway, that's just great! It made me smile from one ear to the other. :)
:) I'm not sure, definitely not thinking in percentages.
