I went to "Art all night" today. A none profit event in Trenton where everyone who likes can contribute one piece of art. It's a tiny little festival with live music and stuff for kids. I didn't have time to get anything printed, so I simply took a piece out of my living room and brought it over. Also today, after a long abstinence, I went mobile again. I purchased a nice 14" laptop I can basically take anywhere to work on images or more serious things like my research. It will definitely increase my output. I also didn't use MS Windows at home since years. Now I have this fancy Windows Vista which seems to suck RAM like crazy (1GB is barely enough). Anybody has experience with Ubuntu? This looks like a reasonable operating system. Something else that just came to my mind: Tomorrow is Gay Pride Parade (Christopher Street Day) in New York. That must be very colorful. Maybe I'll go and photograph that.
I just came home from an exhaustive New York City weekend and I think I have some cool new pictures. Now that I'm home, I noticed many new comments mostly form Lara, a myspace-friend of mine who just happened to discover this blog. Let me quickly refer to her website - it's full of beautiful images.
This is an interesting photo series by Peter Menzel about how the world eats. It basically shows 16 families of 15 different countries and their monthly ration of food.
a mag that fell into my hands a couple of weeks ago. I will also write some text about how I created it. This was the second time I sent something to a magazine and I think it's really rewarding to see things printed.
A 12"x12" print of it is exhibited right now till June 24th at the Princeton Photography Club Exhibit at the 1860 House, Montgomery Center for the Arts, Skillman, NJ.
